Bull Island, is a nature reserve in North Dublin. It formed over 200 years ago due to changes in currents in Dublin Bay following the construction of the North Bull Wall.
The island is now one of our most important nature reserves and serves as a haven for wildlife and a recreational area for people in the city. A combination of natural and man-made processes continues to build and erode its features to this day.
With this project, I want to convey a sense of what it is like to be immersed in this landscape. I was drawn to traces of human intervention, and human made structures that were slowly being consumed by nature.
